When I got this invitation from 60Plus, I joined because I wanted new friends from around the globe who are older and mature than me. I am still hoping I will find some good friends who are like minded as well.
Even if they are not like minded but still wish to be my friends I am open to them as well.
Why not tell the other members why you are here?

Hi and yes I liked what you wrote and I would love to be a friend.We all need friends as well as family and in some instances we can tell our friends what we can't say to our family, so yes I would love to be a friend.
The internet is providing an avenuea for me that I would not otherwise of finding like minded people. It is great to find suitable friend!

we have all the drunks, plus drugs, and high crime, depending on where we live!
